ABOUT US
We Deliver Throughout the Upper Highway Area
Our small family business began in 2014 when Eugene, then almost 11 years old, needed to complete his Cubs Leaping Wolf Badge. As part of the project, he decided to start selling firewood sourced from alien trees. Not only did this provide a useful product, but it also contributed to environmental conservation. To further support this goal, the firewood was packed in bags made from recycled plastic.
Together with his younger brother, Keenan, Eugene distributed flyers throughout the neighbourhood by placing them in local post boxes. Before long, orders began coming in. Mom would take all the orders, while the boys managed much of the business themselves—conducting stock takes, taking orders, and loading the firewood into Mom’s car for deliveries. As word spread, someone suggested promoting the business online, and from there it continued to grow.
Thanks to the incredible support of our local community, what started as a Cub Scout project soon developed into a thriving family business.
Fast forward a few years and much has changed. Eugene ( now 23), is now living in the United Kingdom, and Keenan is currently in Matric. As the business expanded, so did our roles. Mom now manages all orders and customer enquiries, while Keenan handles deliveries and assists with marketing.
In September 2022, we added a new venture to the family business—something else involving fire and sparks! We launched Brite Sparks Laser, our laser cutting and engraving company. You can view some of our work on our Brite Sparks Laser Facebook page.
